Part 2

Gabrielle and Van sat among the crowd in the theater. The show had just begun its seating. Nathan and Audrey were  in their respective costumes. Nathan had on Riff's signature suit and hump. Audrey was dressed in a maids outfit revealing her orange hair. Both of them were pushing carts around that had food and drinks on them up the isles of the auditorium. Nathan got to where Gabrielle and Nathan were as a sly smile spread across his face. "Hello there strangers." he said humorously. "Would you like anything?"

"Haha! Very funny Nathan!" retorted Gabrielle. "Yeah give us a Coke, Sprite, Popcorn, and Skittles." She handed him $15 dollars. "Also give Rio something." she requested.

"Oh, don't worry. Since he's helping out with lights, he gets free drinks and snacks." replied Nathan.

"Well that's good." she said.

"Alright I have to continue serving but the show should start within a few minutes. See you guys later." said Nathan continuing to push the cart upwards.

Rio stood backstage with Rachael working on his makeup. She put makeup on his face, around his eyes, and on his eyelids. She then put dark red lipstick on his lips. "Alright all done." chirped Sarah.

"Thanks. Well….how do I look?" inquired Rio feeling a little awkward.

Rachael scanned him over as a sly smile spread across her face. "You look like a sweet transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania. Tim Curry would be pleased."  

"Good." Rio chuckled shyly. He scanned his costume over. "I can't wait to see Gabrielle's face."

"Yeah, it'll be hilarious." she agreed. "Anyways I need to get into my costume. I'll see you during Sweet Transvestite."

Rio nodded his head. "Alright. Thanks again."

"You're welcome." She chirped before walking to the dressing room.

Rio took a deep breath before saying, "Well this is the night….I'm so nervous." He let out a nervous chuckle. "This'll be interesting."

"That it will buddy." called out a voice.  Rio looked over and saw Evan without his "Dead Space" armor. Evan had brown hair and eyes. He was fairly built and was averagely tall. With the suit and glasses he wore, he looked very identical to "Brad Majors," the part he was playing. With him was Lucy who was dressed as "Janet Weiss." Evan lightly punched Rio in the shoulder. "Don't worry Rio, you'll do fine. You look great for your role, and saying that scares me." he mumbled. "Just don't hold back and become the role itself."

"Thanks." answered Rio. "So you guys will be up soon right?"

Lucy nodded. "Yep. We'll be up after the MC's done talking and after the song, "Science Fiction Double Feature."" She looked at her watch. "Oh, Evan. We better get ready. We'll be up very soon. See you Rio."

"Good luck to you out there." wished Rio.

"You too." thanked Lucy while walking off with Evan. Rio sat down in a nearby chair, anxious for his upcoming role.

--10 minutes later--   

The audience cheered as the lights in the theater dimmed down. The "20th Century Fox" started to play, opening the film. The screen faded to black as the camera started to zoom on a cartoon drawing of red lips. A few seconds later the lips started to move and began to sing. At the same time, a teenage girl on stage began to sing and dance to the song. "Michael Rennie was ill the day the earth stood still, but he told us where we stand. And Flash Gordon was there in silver underwear. Claude Raines was the invisible man the invisible man. Then something went wrong for Fay Wray and King Kong. They got caught in a celluloid jam. Than at a deadly pace it came from outer space. And this is how the message ran."

"Science fiction....... Double feature." sang both Gabrielle and Van to the lyrics of the song with the movie. "Dr.X............. will build a creature. See androids fighting........ Brad and Janet. Anne Francis stars in......... Forbidden Planet. Oh-ho at the late night, double feature, picture show."

After the song ended the lips faded to reveal a church, where a wedding had just occurred. Evan and Lucy walked onto the stage, playing their respective roles. They interacted with volunteer actors who played the newlyweds. The volunteer who played the wife, threw a bride's bouquet prop as Janet caught it. Janet hopped with excitement screaming, "I got it! I got it!" Both of the volunteers playing the newlyweds began to walk off stage as the screen showed both of them driving off in a blue car. After they left, Janet said, "Oh Brad, wasn't it wonderful? Didn't Betty look radiantly beautiful? Oh I can't believe that only an hour ago she was plain, "Betty Monroe"" She said while playing with the  bouquet. "now, now, she's "Mrs. Betty Hapshat." Janet let out a enthusiastic sigh and looked over to Brad.

"Yes Janet, Ralph's a lucky guy." said Brad beginning to walk off.

"Yes." replied Janet following him.

Brad continued his pace, trying to come up with something to say. "Uh-huh everyone knows that Betty's a wonderful little cook." said Brad in a nervous tone, saying the first thing coming to mind.

"Yes."

Brad still continued his pace, coming up with things to say to distract him from his real thoughts. They ended up walking into the church's gravesite. He let out a light chuckle. "Well Ralph himself he'll be in line for a promotion in a year or two."

"Yes."     

The two of them stood in the church's gravesite with Brad looking very conflicted and deep in thought. Music began to play as Brad asked, "Hey Janet?"  

"Yes Brad?" replied Janet sharply.

"I've got something to say." He said in a shaky voice.

"Uh-huh."

"I really love the…." Brad started, trying to think up with a good word to use. "skillful way.... you beat the other girls....to the bride's bouquet."

"Oh Brad!" replied Janet shyly while blushing.

The music to the song changed tempos as Brad began to walk off with Janet following. "The river was deep but I swam it!" he sang.

"Janet…" yelled out the crowd including Gabrielle and Van in a dry tone.

"The future is ours so let's plan it!"

"Janet…"

"So please don't tell me to can it."

"Janet…"

Brad and Janet continued their pace until they stood in front of the church. "I have one thing to say and that's," Brad grabbed Janet by the shoulders. "Damnit Janet! I love you…"  The two inched closer for a kiss until Brad pulled away at the last second and backed away from Janet. He continued singing with, "The road was long but I ran it!

"Janet…"

"There's a fire in my heart and you fan it!!" exclaimed Brad while holding his hands close to his heart."

"Janet..."

"If there's one fool for you, than I am it!" Brad ran up to the church doors.

"Janet..."

"I have one thing to say and that's," Brad pulled out a piece of chalk out of his sleeve and drew a heart on the doors while singing, "Damnit Janet! I love you...""
Janet ran over to Brad and jumped into his arms. Brad hoisted her up and spun her around. He then got on his knees and pulled out a black box. "Here's the ring to prove that I'm no joker..." he sang before opening the box. Janet let out an excited squeal as she saw the ring. "There's three ways love can grow...." Brad continued. "That's good, bad, or mediocre." Brad began to slip the ring onto Janet's finger until it fell out of his hand. Brad and Janet both fumbled onto their knees to pick it back up. Janet grabbed it from Brad's hand and slipped it one while Brad sang, "Oh, J-A-N-E-T I love you so." Brad attempted to hug Janet, but she quickly got back up and ran into the church causing Brad to fumble over.

Lucy ran over to isle as the scene changed to Janet inside the church. Janet extended her arm our flashing the ring to everyone. "It's nicer than Betty Monroe had!" bragged Janet.

"Oh Brad!" yelled out the crowd in a little more of an enthusiastic voice. At the same time, Brad managed to catch up to Janet.

Janet looked over to Brad "Now we're engaged and I'm so glad." Janet sang cheerfully.

"Oh Brad!"

"That you met Mom and know Dad." Brad gave a warm, shy smile.

"Oh Brad!"

"I have one thing to say and that's, Brad I'm mad for you too." Janet wrapped herself around Brad's arm, and began to drag him. Both Evan and Sabrina walked up the isle synchronizing with the film. "Oh Brad...." chirped Janet.

"Oh....damnit!" cursed Brad.

"I'm mad."

"Oh....Janet!" said Brad embarrassed.

"For you"

"I love you too," sang Brad while Janet sang her verse at the same time. Brad and Janet looked at each other and sang at the same time, "There's one thing left to do ah-hoo." sung both Brad and Janet at the same time. Evan with Lucy walked back down to the pit while, Brad walked off and yelled out, "And that's go see the man who began it!"

"Janet..."

He looked back at Janet. "When we met at our science exam-it."

"Janet..."

"Made me give you the eye and....panic." he said embarrassed in a half chuckle.

"Janet.."

"I have one thing to say and that's, Damnit Janet! I love you..."
Janet ran into his arms giving him one of her hands. The two began to slow dance, exchanging their names to each other. The two eventually got onto their knees both singing, "I....love...you..." Both Brad and Janet inched closer to together and kissed. Evan and Lucy acted out the actual event, getting multiple cheers from the audience. Seeing as to how they were already a couple, it didn't bother them acting out the particular scene.

As the song ended Gabrielle smiled to herself. "That was really good." She looked over to an empty seat next to her and sighed. "It's too bad Rio can't sit and enjoy the movie with me." Gabrielle simply shrugged her shoulders and decided to pay her attention back to the film.

Lucy and Evan quickly left the stage. During the ending of the song, Mr. Harrison, whom was playing Criminologist, walked onto the stage unnoticed. This was due to the fact that there was no spotlight on him at that time. A spotlight quickly beamed onto him as the scene changed from the church to an office of some kind. The scene showed a man looking at a picture through a projector while smoking a cigarette with his back turned to the camera. A second later, he shut off the projector and turned himself around and said, "I would like..." he chuckled. "if I may...to take you...on a strange journey." Criminologist walked over to the bookshelf and pulled out a black leather photo book. He opened the book which had multiple photos of the wedding Brad and Janet were just at. After he flipped through two pages he continued his speech with, "It seemed a fairly ordinary night when," He flipped the page again showing a school photo of Brad. "Brad Majors and his fiancée," he flipped the page again showing a school photo of Janet. "Janet Weiss, two ordinary healthy kids, left Denton that late November evening to visit a, "Doctor Everett Scott." said Criminologist flipping the page to show a school photo of an older man in a wheelchair. "Ex-Tutor, and now friend to both of them." Criminologist closed and placed the book back onto the desk. "It's true there were dark storm clouds. Heavy, black, and pendulous, toward which they were driving." Criminologist picked up the book again and placed it on a nearby stand. "It's true also that the spare tire they were carrying was badly in need of some air, but they being normal kids on a night out. Well, they weren't going to let a storm spoil the events of their evening. On a night out." The camera started to zoom in on Criminologist, as a serious face dawned upon him. "It was a night out they were going to remember for a very long time."

The sound of thunder filled the auditorium as the scene changed to Brad and Janet driving through a forest road as a downpour occurred. The spotlight left Mr. Harrison giving him the chance to run off the stage. The camera showed both Brad and Janet driving along the road. Evan and Lucy simulated this by sitting on the edge of the stage. Evan even had a steering wheel prop to use. Brad had the radio turned on to a Presidential speech while Janet read a newspaper. A moment later, a motorcycle had passed by their car. "Gosh, that's the third motorcycle that's passed us!" exclaimed Janet. "They sure must take life into their own hands with this kind of weather."

"Yes Janet, life's pretty cheap for that type." replied Brad harshly

The two them remained silent until she notice that Brad was acting a little more tense scanning the road ahead. "What's the matter Brad, darling?" she asked.

Brad wiped the windshield as he came to a stop do to a "Dead End" sign. "Hmmm we must've taken a wrong fork a few miles back."

Janet nodded her head. "Oh, but then where did that motorcycle come from?" she inquired.

Brad simply shrugged his shoulders in response. "Well, I guess we'll just have to turn back." he said shifting the gears to reverse and turning himself around. He looked out the back window and had his arm on the passenger seat.

He began to back his car until he heard a loud bang and their car came to a sudden jolting stop. "What was that bang!?" yelled a startled Janet.

"We must've had a blowout." He pounded his palm on the seat, causing Janet to jump a little. "Damnit! I knew I should've gotten that spare tire fixed!" Janet rolled her eyes in response. "Will you just stay here and keep warm? I'll go and get help."

"Where will you go in the middle of nowhere?" she asked impatiently.

Brad tapped on the steering wheel, thinking of what to do. A smile spread across his face as a light bulb went off in his head. "Didn't we pass by a castle a few miles back?"

Janet was about to say something when Brad interrupted her with, "Maybe they have a telephone I can use!"

Janet let out a heavy sigh before saying, "I'm going with you."

Brad looked over at her, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Oh no darling there's no sense in both of us getting wet." he protested.

"I'm coming with you!" she said firmly. Brad sighed to himself as he shut off the car. He knew there was no way he was talking her out of it. She looked over at him with a playful look. "Besides darling, the owner of that phone may be a beautiful woman. You might not ever come back again." she joked.

Brad let out an amused laugh before opening the door to his car. Janet took the newspaper she had and placed it over her head as an umbrella. The two of them treaded through the forest as music started to play. They continued walking until they reached the castle's gate. Evan and Lucy simply walked across the pit to act out this sequence. On it read a sign saying, "ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK." During this sequence Evan and Lucy both acted out the song, "Over at the Frankenstein Place." the song about them arriving at the castle. After the song ended, Brad and Janet stood at the front doors of the castle. Evan and Lucy stood at the end of the stage. Nathan who would soon begin his roll stood center stage while Audrey stood at the other end of the stage her face buried in her hands.

Janet took the newspaper off her head. "Brad, let's go back. I'm cold and frightened."

"Just a moment Janet. They may have a phone." replied Brad cheerfully while cleaning his glasses. He looked around the door, until he noticed the doorbell and pressed it.

A few seconds later, the door was loudly creaked open by a man with long messy blonde hair, dressed in a torn up suit. He had a look of complete displeasure on his face. Nathan 's costume for Riff was very accurate to the film despite being a Lucario. He had the correct posture of always being hunched over, and seeming very unsociable. He had a piece of Styrofoam in his suit to help give the look of constantly being hunched over. Riff stood in the doorway, placing his hands on the other door. "Hello?" he greeted in a very
flat voice.

Brad gave him a smile and extended out his hand. "Hi, my name's Brad Majors." he greeted. Riff didn't shake his hand, he only continued to stare at them. Brad wrapped his arm around Janet saying, "This is my fiancée, Janet Weiss." Janet gave him a weak smile. "I was wondering if you might help us. Our car broke down a few miles up the road. You have a phone we might use?"

"Your wet..." replied Riff dryly.

"Yes...it's raining." remarked Janet being a smartass.

Brad gave a light chuckle. "Yes."

"Yes...." copied Riff. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck nearby creating a bright flash and loud boom. Riff scooted closer to them. "I think perhaps you better both...come inside." he suggested while lightly smiling at them.

Brad and Janet both gave him a warm smile while Riff returned their smile. The three of them entered the house and were shocked at what they saw. They appeared to be in a worn down house. Webs were all over the place, and there were many odd figurines in the room with them. They could hear music and a lot of people nearby. They could also see a woman perched on the staircase's railing.

Janet felt a cold shiver run down her spine. "Brad I'm frightened!" she shuttered. "What kind of a place is this?"

"Uh, it's probably some kind of hunting lodge for rich weirdoes." replied Brad.

Both of them jumped when they heard Riff slam the door behind them. He walked over to him, cutting his way between Them. He waved his hand forward. "This way." instructed Riff.   

Brad and Janet did as Riff instructed as they followed him. Brad gripped Janet, keeping her close to him. The two continued to follow until Janet asked him, "Are you having a party?"

Riff stopped to turn around an face them. A dark grin appeared on his face. "You've arrived on a rather special night. It's one of the master's affairs."

Janet warmly smiled. "Oh, lucky him."

Suddenly the girl who was perched on the railing looked over to Brad and Janet yelling, "He's lucky, you're lucky, I'm lucky!" She threw her leg over the railing and slid down, while  "We're all lucky!!" She then tossed Riff the feather duster she was holding onto and laughed manically.

The clock in the room started chime. Riff walked over to the clock which had the shape of a coffin. He stroked it once as guitar beat started to play. Riff opened the clock revealing a skeleton inside. On stage, Nathan acted this out by having a member of the props crew dressed in a skeletal hoodie act as the clock. "It's astounding! Time is fleeting!" sang Riff while stroking the skeleton with the feather duster. He then ran behind the door of the clock wrapping his hand around it, pointing at the clock's face. "Madness, takes its toll." Magenta hissed behind both Brad and Janet as they slowly paced towards Riff. "But listen closely..."

"Not for very much longer." sang Magenta while brushing up against Brad making both him and Janet feel uneasy. Brad gave an uneasy smile while Janet's face showed complete terror.

"I've got to....keep control" continued Riff. The beat to the song picked up as Riff bent backwards breaking into song with, "I REMEMBER...DOING THE TIME WARP!!" Riff ran to the mansion's elevator shaft and clamped onto the beams. He kicked his foot into the air twice. Nathan acted this out by running to one sided of the stage. "DRINKING THOSE MOMENTS WHEN....THE BLACKNESS WOULD HIT ME!!!" Riff ran over to Magenta brushing their arms together

"AND THE VOID WOULD BE CALLING!!!" sang both Riff and Magenta as they joined hands together chasing both Brad and Janet through a nearby door. As they burst through the doors a group of people all in black suits sung out, "Let's do the time warp again!!" Brad and Janet both entered what appeared to be a large showroom where the so called, "guests" were.

"Let's do the time warp again!!" sung both Gabrielle and Van. At the same time, everyone in the school's auditorium including Gabrielle and Van, got out of their seats and stood in the isle since this was an audience participation song. The screen shifted to Criminologist as he pulled down a sheet with instructions to perform the time warp.

At the same time, Mr. Harrison, whom was playing Crim at the time, had a stand where he had an exact duplicate of the sheet. He took out his stick and said pointed at the sheet saying very plainly, "It's just a jump to the left."

Everyone in the auditorium jumped to their left and sung, "and then a right!" Every waved their hands in a sweeping motion as they moved their right leg out.

The screen shifted to Crim again. "Put your hands on your hips!" he said in an enthusiastic tone.

The crowd did so accordingly. "Bend your knees in tight!" sung the crowd in a higher pitch tone. "And it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane " sung the crowd as everyone in the crowd including Gabrielle and Van danced to the song. "Let's do the time warp again!!" Janet quickly fainted into Brad's arms. "Let's do the time warp again!!" the crowd repeated. Everyone quickly sat back down before Audrey began her solo.  

Magenta gave both Brad and Janet a sinister glare before singing herself. "It's so dreamy!!" she began. She threw her arms into the air. "Oh fantasy free me!!" She gave a dark glare as she waved her hands toward them. "So you can't see me. No not at all!!" During Birney's solo as Magenta, Nathan pushed both Even and Lucy to midcenter of the stage to act out Riff pushing Brad and Janet deeper into the showroom. Magenta circled around a column in the room continuing with, "In another dimension, with voyeuristic intention. Magenta began to lower her head and slide down the column singing, "Well secluded. I see all." She placed her head on the railing.

"With a bit of a mind flip!" Riff sung dryly.

Magenta stood on top of the railing "You'll enter the time slip!!" gasped Magenta.

Nathan on stage performed the action of offering Brad and Janet a bagel. "And nothing can ever be same."

Magenta jumped off the railing making her way over to Brad and Janet. "You're spaced out on sensation!!"

"LIKE YOU'RE UNDER SEDATION!!!" roared Riff.  

"Let's do the time warp again!!" sung the crowd. Riff and Magenta threw their hands into the their as they made their toward Columbia, a young energetic girl who sat atop a jukebox. Columbia was dressed in a sparkling golden coat , a sparkling golden top hat a multicolored corset and shorts. Sarah who was playing Columbia had a very screen accurate costume. She sat on the stage to act out Columbia's solo  "Let's do the time warp again!!"
Columbia began to sing her solo with, "Well I was walking down the street just a-having a think when a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink! He shook me up he took by surprise he had a pickup truck and the devil's eyes!" Columbia took off her hat and started playing with it as she continued with. "He stared at me and I felt a change." Columbia stuck her hat back on. "Time meant nothing never would again."

"Let's do the time warp again!!" Everyone got back up out of their seat and participated the reprise. After the reprise was over, Sarah jumped off the stage and began to perform Columbia's tap dance. After a good ten seconds of tap dancing she began to spin around in complete circles while making her way to the other side of the stage. Sarah tumbled over acting out Columbia hitting the stairs. Luckily for her the props crew set up a soft chair behind her that broke her fall. Columbia quickly got back up and threw her hat back on as the reprise began. Everyone got back up out of their seats for the final reprise to the "Time Warp"

At the same time, Janet nudged Brad in the shoulder, indicating him to leave. Both Brad and Janet slowly backed their way toward the door that Riff and Magenta had earlier forced them through. Both Brad and Janet had successfully made it to the door and watched as Riff, Magenta, Columbia, and all the guests performing their...peculiar dance. "Let's do the time warp again!!" sang the group before they all toppled over for their conclusion.

Brad and Janet were quite puzzled and felt quite uneasy about what just occurred. One minute everyone was singing and dancing but now, it was silent, and no was moving.

Rio stood behind the curtain of stage exit left. He was anxious but none the less excited to act out his role as Frank. He took a deep breath and adjusted his high heels one last time. "Well it's finally here!" he said to himself. "Time to begin my role."
